Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an approved nursing program and have successfully completed fundamentals of nursing.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 upon hire; a letter grade of C or above must be maintained.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in patient care or equivalent on-the-job training through a nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Participates in selected nursing care activities as assigned and per policies.
• Performs unit duties excluding invasive procedures, medication administration, IVs and blood products.
• Assists in developing and revising Nursing Care Plans.
• Performs clerical duties related to admissions, discharges, and patient records.
• Takes and records vital signs and performs routine patient care tasks.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and complete documentation.
