Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an approved nursing program (diploma, associate or bachelor degree) and have completed fundamentals of nursing.
• Must be able to work with neonatal to geriatric patient population as assigned.
• Must provide proof of continuous enrollment in an approved nursing program to maintain employment.
• Current CPR/BLS certification Required.
• At least 1 year experience in patient care or equivalent on-the-job training as obtained through participation in an approved nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Participates and performs selected activities and nursing care as assigned and according to established policies and procedures.
• Prepares patient, environment and supplies for care/treatment.
• Works within isolation precautions and performs pre/post procedural care as delegated.
• Assists with wound care, dressings, and patient transfer.
• Takes and records vital signs and maintains patient records and care documentation.
• Observes and reports patient responses to interventions and communicates needs to staff.
