Job summary

Regional One Health in Memphis, TN seeks a Graduate Nurse Extern to provide nursing care under supervision on the Jefferson 5D Trauma unit. You will support care plans, monitor patient status, and assist with patient education while adhering to HIPAA and safety policies.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program (AD, Diploma or BSN), eligibility for TN RN licensure within 90 days, and Basic Life Support.

Qualifications

• Completion of the course requirements for graduation from an Associate’s Degree, Diploma or Bachelor of Science program in nursing.
• RN licensure in TN required within 90 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) required upon hire.
• NCLEX must be taken (2nd attempt may require ancillary role).

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under supervision according to the medical regime and nursing plan.
• Assess, plan and implement patient care with standard policies and safety practices.
• Document assessment findings and clinical judgments.
• Demonstrate patient care competencies across age groups.
• Communicate with the healthcare team and coordinate care.
