Job summary

Roxbury Community College is seeking a Maker Space Program Lead to support daily Maker Space operations on campus. The student leader will combine hands-on technical support with peer leadership, workflow coordination, and project ownership under supervision.

The role requires current RCC enrollment for 2026-2027, an active Federal Work-Study award, and adherence to SAP and payroll requirements. 10–12 hours weekly, up to 18.5 hours, starting Sept 21, 2026.

Qualifications

• Previous Maker Space or related experience in student employment or projects.
• Ability to follow safety, equipment-use, and operating procedures.
• Strong communication, customer-service, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet users and assist with Maker Space check-in and sign-out.
• Organize tools, supplies, and work areas per staff directions.
• Assist with setup and breakdown for demonstrations and workshops.
• Maintain inventory and usage records.
• Provide basic orientation to room procedures and refer questions to staff.
