Roxbury Community College (RCC) invites applications for the Maker Space Program Assistant role in the RCC Maker Space. This on-campus, part-time Federal Work-Study position assists with daily operations, equipment access, and outreach activities to support students, faculty, and staff in 3D printing, prototyping, design, VR, and STEM applications.

Responsibilities include greeting users, organizing materials, assisting demos, maintaining inventories, and guiding users to staff for advanced

Qualifications

Currently enrolled at Roxbury Community College for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Active Federal Work-Study award with remaining eligibility.
Maintain SAP per financial-aid requirements.
Complete all required student-employment and payroll documentation before beginning work.

Responsibilities

Greet users and assist with routine Maker Space check-in/out procedures.
Organize tools, supplies, instructional materials, and work areas according to staff directions.
Assist with basic setup and breakdown for demonstrations, workshops, and scheduled activities.
Maintain routine inventory, usage, and supply records using approved forms or spreadsheets.
Provide basic orientation to posted room procedures and refer questions to staff.
Support cleaning and orderly storage of materials; do not independently authorize equipment use or provide unsupervised technical instruction.
