Job summary

The University of San Diego seeks a Student Life Coordinator to support the Assistant Vice President for Student Life by coordinating TRS and student-facing programs, handling calendars, calls, email, and correspondence, and managing confidential information.

The role includes organizing meetings, preparing materials, supporting divisional projects, and assisting with budget-related tasks. This position may lead special campus projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Determines priority of issues for AVP’s consideration and prepares materials.
• Sends and responds to inquiries; manages incoming correspondence.
• Schedules appointments and maintains calendars.
• Composes confidential correspondence and memoranda for the AVP.
• Serves as information source for students, employees, parents, alumni, and the public.
• Screens visitors and routes inquiries to the proper administrator.
• Maintains records and files for committees and affiliations.
• Prepares and maintains files; coordinates director meetings.
• Arranges weekly/biweekly meetings for directors reporting to the AVP.
• Assists with searches and coordination of candidacies including travel and meetings.
• Organizes electronic documents for the AVP and schedules meetings and logistics.
• Coordinates catering, A/V, and room setups for meetings and events.
• Purchases supplies and equipment as needed.
