Job summary

High Point University is seeking a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Student Life Operations. This role provides first-class customer service to students, faculty, staff, and families, maintains knowledge of university resources, and supports the Manager and Coordinator in Student Life Operations roles.

This position provides HPU students, faculty, staff, and families with a positive HPU experience and connects them to appropriate resources for a quick solution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 1 year of customer service in a professional setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft products.
• Knowledge of HPU and understanding of the university’s culture.

Responsibilities

• Delivers the HPU experience through face-to-face interactions, phone calls, emails while enhancing the opinion and advocacy of the university.
• Recognizes sensitive internal information and exercises complete discretion when assisting in private matters.
• Collaborates with members of the Student Life team to ensure a quick resolution to any issues or concerns.
• Maintains and up-to-date knowledge of the university calendar, important deadlines, departmental communication campaigns, and university resources.
• Executes multiple projects and job functions with efficiency.
• Ability to communicate in a positive manner.
• Ability to focus on details and prioritize tasks.
• Works with a sense of urgency while maintaining composure.
• Other duties as assigned
