Job summary

High Point University invites applications for a Fitness Graduate Assistant in the Recreation Services department. The role supports planning, supervision, and evaluation of fitness programs at HPU, and helps oversee daily operations of the fitness facilities located in Slane Student Center and Millis Athletic Center.

The position requires prior experience as a personal trainer or group exercise instructor, strong organization and time management, and the ability to lead staff.

• Ability to adapt to changing schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, supervision, implementation and evaluation of the fitness programs at HPU.
• Help oversee the day-to-day operations of the fitness facilities.
• Promote fitness programs at HPU.
• Participate in weekly office hours and monthly meetings.
• Assist with scheduling for Fitness Attendants and Personal Training Clients.
