Job summary

High Point University is seeking a Graduate Assistant to coordinate intramural sports programming and events within Recreation Services. This role involves managing campus IM facilities, programs, operations, and student staff, with up to 20 hours per week.

The GA will recruit, train and schedule student staff, develop and assess programming to serve the university community, and report to the Director of Recreation Services. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in progress preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's in progress preferred.
• Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• Experience in campus recreation or related field; customer service recommended.
• Cross-train in other areas of Recreation Services.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise intramural sports programming.
• Referee and scorekeep intramural events on campus.
• Manage game day operations and setup.
• Assist with risk management and marketing materials.
• Train and supervise student staff; provide feedback.
