Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana is seeking a part-time Student Life Assistant to support events, student organizations, and mascot activities at the Marion campus. You will greet visitors, assist with marketing materials, coordinate room setups, and help manage campus postings and the IvyLife portal.

You’ll work closely with Campus Activities Board and Student Life staff, maintaining a high-energy presence at events while following college policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Ivy Tech student enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.
• Strong public and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team member and independently.
• Experience in event planning or marketing is a plus.
• Proficient with basic computer apps including email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
• Willingness to learn Ivy Tech policies and campus procedures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for internal and external customers for Student Life.
• Support Student Life activities, events, and student engagement initiatives.
• Uphold Ivy Tech mascot brand and participate in events and promotions.
• Assist in planning and facilitating events, meetings, and conferences.
• Maintain materials, postings, calendars, and event records.
• Provide administrative support to student organizations and campus groups.
