Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis seeks an Assistant Director of Student Organizations to oversee all student clubs on campus (excluding Student Government Association) and to lead engagement efforts across Indianapolis and Plainfield locations. You will develop programs, resources, and evaluation methods to enhance student life and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in higher education, student affairs, event management, or a related field required.
• Preferred: Master’s in Student Affairs or Higher Education.
• Community college or similar higher education experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recognition and registration of new student organizations.
• Develop an online resource center for leadership and advisors with templates and guides.
• Plan programs and initiatives to develop student organizations.
• Coordinate major events: fairs, involvement weeks, orientation, retreats, ceremonies.
• Lead SCORE in partnership with TAB Recreation.
• Advise students and assist with learning outcomes assessment.
• Navigate campus policies and ensure compliance; advise on regulations.
