Job summary

The Campus Activities Board Assistant at Ivy Tech Community College, Sellersburg, supports campus programming by helping plan and run student events. You’ll coordinate logistics, promotions, and post-event assessments with the Office of Student Life, while encouraging broad student participation.

• Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and customer service experience.
• Interest in event planning and coordination is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work with SGA to represent the student body’s voice when selecting future events/activities.
• Assist with event logistics (setup, teardown, attendance tracking, outreach and marketing).
• Create fliers and promotional materials for events/activities.
• Distribute event promotional materials on campus.
• Attend CAB/Student Life event-planning meetings and encourage student involvement.

The Campus Activities Board (CAB) Assistant serves as a student leader of the campus’s programming efforts. They will assist the Office of Student Life with the preparation, coordination, and implementation of events and activities.Salary Range: $15 per hourGeneral Purpose and Scope of Position: The Campus Activities Board (CAB) Assistant serves as a student leader of the campus’s programming efforts. They will assist the Office of Student Life with the preparation, coordination, and implementation of events and activities.Major Responsibilities:Work with SGA to represent the student body’s voice when selecting future events/activities.Assist with event logistics (setup, teardown, attendance tracking, outreach and marketing, and other duties assigned).Work weekly in IvyLife to track Student Org needs.Create fliers and other promotional materials for events/activities.Distribute event promotional materials on campus.Assist the Office of Student Life with post-event assessment.Attend/work at Ivy Tech Sellersburg-sponsored events and activities.Attend and actively participate in CAB/Student Life event-planning meetings.Actively encourage students to participate and/or get involved on campus.Help to maintain the organization and flow of the Student Life Center.Expected Schedule:Monday-Thursday: 10-2pmEvents/extended hours when needed.Roughly 15-20 hours a week.
