Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana – Sellersburg is seeking a CAB Assistant to support campus programming and events. The role involves assisting with preparation, coordination, and implementation of student life activities, while serving as a student leader to help guide programming decisions.

• Attend/work at Ivy Tech Sellersburg-sponsored events and activities.
• Attend and actively participate in CAB/Student Life event-planning meetings.
• Actively encourage students to participate and/or get involved on campus.
• Help to maintain the organization and flow of the Student Life Center.

Role Overview

The Campus Activities Board (CAB) Assistant serves as a student leader of the campus’s programming efforts. They will assist the Office of Student Life with the preparation, coordination, and implementation of events and activities.

Salary Range: $15 per hour

Major Responsibilities

• Work with SGA to represent the student body’s voice when selecting future events/activities.
• Assist with event logistics (setup, teardown, attendance tracking, outreach and marketing, and other duties assigned).
• Work weekly in IvyLife to track Student Org needs.
• Create fliers and other promotional materials for events/activities.

This is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned.

Expected Schedule

Monday-Thursday: 10-2pm Events/extended hours when needed. Roughly 15-20 hours a week. High-traffic times of the year may require 20-24 hours.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma
• Customer service experience
