Job summary

Proviso East High School seeks a Culinary Activity Sponsor to organize and supervise a student club, mentor participants, and promote an inclusive extracurricular experience. This stipend position supports district goals and requires collaboration with staff and administration.

The sponsor will ensure safety, coordinate events, and maintain program records in alignment with IHSA and district policies. Preference may be given to PTU members where applicable.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students in a school setting.
• Willingness to take responsibility for all duties associated with the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision for all club activities and events, ensuring safety.
• Ensure off-campus activities are approved and transportation arranged per policy.
• Comply with mandated reporter responsibilities under Illinois law.
• Model positive relations and foster inclusive, developmentally appropriate activities.
• Coordinate facility usage and district procedures for a well-organized program.
