Job summary

Proviso East High School is seeking an Activity Sponsor to supervise, mentor and promote a student club in alignment with district goals. The sponsor will serve as a liaison among students, staff and administration to provide a safe and engaging extracurricular experience.

Responsibilities include supervising meetings and events, ensuring approvals and consent forms, acting as a mandated reporter, and guiding students in planning meaningful activities. Stipends follow the PTU schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision for club activities and events, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Ensure off-campus activities are approved and permissions are completed.
• As a mandated reporter, comply with training and reporting obligations.
• Prepare students for participation and clearly define expectations.
• Guide students in planning inclusive activities aligned with the club's mission.
• Coordinate logistics and facility usage for well-organized events.
• Use feedback to inform program decisions and improve quality.
• Attend sponsor meetings and related events.
• Maintain professional communication with stakeholders.
