Oakland University invites applications for Student IT Support Technicians to join the OU Tech Center. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for campus devices and provide friendly, clear support to students, faculty, and staff.

Role involves maintaining systems, updating software, and assisting with IT projects while documenting procedures and helping users navigate Google Workspace, Zoom, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in installing, using, and troubleshooting Windows and macOS environments.
• Strong familiarity with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Experience supporting computer hardware, peripherals (printers, scanners, monitors, keyboard/mouse), and mobile devices.
• Foundational knowledge of network troubleshooting and connectivity.

Responsabilités

• Resolve technical issues for university devices across hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Provide user support to students, faculty, and staff via phone, chat, email, and in-person.
• Maintain systems with routine software updates, security scans, and hardware configurations.
• Guide and train users on essential tools such as Google Workspace, Zoom, and Microsoft Office.
• Contribute to IT projects and help document technical procedures.
