Job summary

Stark State College (OH) is seeking a part-time Help Desk Assistant to provide level I support to faculty, students, and staff using the Help Desk software and phone etiquette. The role includes assisting with projects, dispersing help aids, and supporting Help Desk operations on campus.

Candidates should be enrolled in an ET/IT program or have IT experience, with strong communication, writing, and telephone skills, and the ability to work well with people.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an ET/IT program or previous IT experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide level I help desk support to faculty, students, and staff using the online Help Desk software and telephone etiquette.
• Assign level 2 support to the appropriate IT group.
• Assist users at the Help Desk counter and over the phone.
• Disperse help aids and assist Help Desk staff with projects as needed.
• Maintain documentation racks and ensure printers are stocked in open computer lab areas.
