Job summary

The Genetics Institute at the University of Florida is seeking a part-time student OPS non-clerical IT Desktop Support to provide first-level IT assistance on the Main Campus (Gainesville).

The role includes installing and deploying workstations, supporting desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and other peripherals, and troubleshooting Mac and Windows systems. The position may involve email, docs, spreadsheets and research software support.

Qualifications

• UF student with two years of relevant experience.
• Industry certifications can substitute for experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences can substitute for two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level IT support and research resolutions.
• Install and deploy desktop and mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
• Support email, documentation, spreadsheets, and research apps; troubleshoot Mac/Windows systems.
