Job summary

University of South Florida seeks a Service Desk Student Technician (Finance) to provide Level I support for hardware, software, and end-user inquiries. This student temporary (OPS) role requires USF enrollment and a minimum of 18 hours per week.

Responsibilities include creating and managing trouble tickets, documenting interactions, and supporting USF IT services. Preference for Windows 7-11, Mac OS X, and prior computing/tech documentation experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with one year of general office experience.
  • USF student enrolled and able to provide a class schedule.
  • Experience with Windows 7-11 and Mac OS X preferred.
  • One year of professional computing experience preferred.
  • Technical documentation experience preferred.
  • Two years of college experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level I Service Desk support for hardware, software, and end-user inquiries via phone, chat, email, and in-person
  • Create and manage trouble tickets using IT Service Management ticketing system
  • Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions, including: Clear descriptions of customer requests and technical issues; Specific actions taken to provide support; Final resolution of each case
  • Support system software used by the USF community and affiliates.
