Job summary

Entergy New Orleans, LLC is offering a Summer 2027 Student Intern position in Power Generation. The role is onsite in New Orleans and involves supporting a cross-functional team, learning plant systems, and recording operating data.

Students will gain exposure to boilers, turbine generators, and related equipment while building foundational process technology skills. The program targets students pursuing millwright, machinist, or process technology training with strong communication abilities.

Qualifications

• GPA 2.8 or above.
• Familiar with databases and Windows environment; Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

• Learn basic understanding of power plant instrumentation knowledge.
• Work a flexible schedule.
• Engage actively in day-to-day activities.

• Learn plant systems and operating procedures including the elementary function of steam powerplant equipment, such as boilers, turbo-generator units, rotating electrical equipment, heat exchange equipment, pumps, compressors, fans, etc.
• Perform routine operations assist in the operations of steam power plant equipment.
• Record operating data on log sheets and electronic logs
• Learn a basic understanding of power plant instrumentation knowledge
• Work a flexible schedule
• Actively engage in day-to-day activities

Job Requirements

• GPA 2.8 or above.
• Computer skills–- familiar with various databases, as well as Windows environment and Microsoft toolkit (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Must have good communication skills.
• Pursuing a degree focused on millwright, machinist, or Process Technology training at an accredited College or University.
