This position will work with the Plant’s Engineers and Team Leaders to prepare the candidate for full-time employment in a power plant. During this time the candidate will work on outage project planning, engineering design and review packages, and root cause analysis investigations while maintaining safe work practices at all times. Additional assignments will include time working with the maintenance and operations departments in attempt to gain a better understanding of power plant principles. Other specific assignments will be assigned based on skill set or training needs.
Working in a team environment to assist in day-to-day activities, including but not limited to:
Candidates must be actively enrolled and pursuing a bachelors, masters or doctorate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a four-year institution (for the duration of their internship)
Candidates must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 (on a 4.0 scale), verified through an official transcript from the previous semester.
Candidates who have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam are preferred.
