Job summary

The Elliot Health System is seeking a motivated student radiologic technologist to join the radiology team in New Hampshire. You will perform radiography procedures in line with ASRT standards and assist licensed practitioners during interventional procedures.

During orientation you will obtain and maintain a BLS credential, and you will complete required annual education on schedule. The role provides on-site opportunities for hands-on learning within a supportive department.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in AMA-approved Radiological Technologist program.
• Upon graduation obtain a temporary Medical Imaging license.
• Must obtain BLS qualification during orientation and maintain it during employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiography procedures based on ASRT Radiography Practice Standards and Code of Ethics.
• Assists the licensed practitioner in interventional procedures.
• Works under the direction of the staff radiologic technologist.
• Completes annual mandatory education on time.

About the Job:

The practice of radiography is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. A radiographer performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or by the request of, a licensed independent practitioner.

What You’ll Do:

• Performs radiography procedures based on the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) “Radiography Practice Standards” and the ASRT “Code of Ethics”.

• Assists the licensed practitioner in the completion of interventional procedures
• Works under the direction of the staff radiologic technologist
• Completes annual mandatory education on time.

Who You Are:

• Enrollment in a formal Radiological Technologist training program from an AMA approved school.

• Upon graduation from formal Radiological Technologist training program, employee is required to obtain a temporary Medical Imaging license

• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment, Required
