Job summary

The Elliot Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiography procedures per the ASRT Radiography Practice Standards and department protocols. You will help ensure high-quality images, participate in quality control activities, and perform venipuncture as part of contrast administration.

Candidates must complete AMA-approved Radiologic Technologist training, complete a 24‑month clinical internship, hold ARRT certification (or be eligible to obtain it within 12 months), and

Qualifications

• Completion of AMA approved Radiologic Technologist training.
• Twenty-four month clinical internship completed.
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy required.
• ARRT certification required or eligible with plan to obtain within 12 months.
• Ability to obtain BLS during orientation and maintain it during employment.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiography procedures based on ASRT Standards and departmental protocols.
• Understands and adheres to departmental exam protocols.
• Participates in quality control and quality assurance using the APIE model.
• Performs venipuncture.
• Prepares, administers, and documents contrast administration.

About The Job

The practice of radiography is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. A radiographer performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or by the request of, a licensed independent practitioner.

What You’ll Do

• Performs radiography procedures based on the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) "Radiography Practice Standards" and the ASRT "Code of Ethics"
• Understands and adheres to departmental exam protocols
• Actively participates in quality control and quality assurance activities using the "APIE" model.
• Performs venipuncture
• Prepares, administers, and documents activities related to contrast

Who You Are

• Completion of formal Radiological Technologist training from an AMA approved school
• Twenty-four month clinical internship required
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy, Required
• ARRT certification, Required
• ARRT eligible candidates will be considered for hire with the expectation that certification will be obtained within 12 months of hire
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment
• Experience with Epic, Preferred
