Job summary

The Elliot Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiography in alignment with ASRT standards. This role emphasizes patient care and protocol adherence in a hospital setting.

Candidates must complete AMA-approved Radiologic Technologist training, complete a 24-month clinical internship, and obtain ARRT certification (or become eligible with certification within 12 months). On-site, per diem schedule with Epic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal Radiological Technologist training from an AMA approved school.
• Twenty-four month clinical internship required.
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy, Required.
• ARRT certification, Required.
• ARRT eligible candidates will be considered for hire with the expectation that certification will be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment.
• Experience with Epic, Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiography procedures based on ASRT Radiography Practice Standards and the ASRT Code of Ethics.
• Understands and adheres to departmental exam protocols.
• Actively participates in quality control and quality assurance activities using the APiE model.
• Performs venipuncture.
• Prepares, administers, and documents activities related to contrast.

About The Job

The practice of radiography is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. A radiographer performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or by the request of, a licensed independent practitioner.

What You’ll Do

• Performs radiography procedures based on the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) “Radiography Practice Standards” and the ASRT “Code of Ethics”
• Understands and adheres to departmental exam protocols
• Actively participates in quality control and quality assurance activities using the “APIE” model.
