Job summary

The Elliot Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiography procedures according to ASRT standards and departmental protocols. You will participate in quality control and QA efforts and handle venipuncture and contrast administration as part of patient care.

Required AMA-approved training, a 24‑month internship, and ARRT certification. Eligible candidates may be hired with the understanding that ARRT certification will be obtained within 12 months of hire; Epic

Qualifications

• Completion of formal Radiological Technologist training from an AMA approved school.
• Internship completed or in progress with clinical exposure.
• ARDT certification required/ARRT eligible within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiography procedures based on ASRT standards.
• Adheres to departmental exam protocols.
• Participates in quality control and quality assurance activities using the APIE model.
• Performs venipuncture.
• Prepares, administers, and documents contrast-related activities.

About The Job

The practice of radiography is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. A radiographer performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or by the request of, a licensed independent practitioner.

What You'll Do

• Performs radiography procedures based on the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) "Radiography Practice Standards" and the ASRT "Code of Ethics"
• Understands and adheres to departmental exam protocols
• Actively participates in quality control and quality assurance activities using the "APIE" model.
• Performs venipuncture
• Prepares, administers, and documents activities related to contrast

Who You Are

• Completion of formal Radiological Technologist training from an AMA approved school
• Twenty-four month clinical internship required
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy, Required
• ARRT certification, Required
• ARRT eligible candidates will be considered for hire with the expectation that certification will be obtained within 12 months of hire
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment
• Experience with Epic, Preferred
