Job summary

The Elliot is seeking a motivated Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging team. You will perform radiography procedures in line with ASRT standards and departmental protocols, producing diagnostic images for interpretation.

You’ll participate in quality control using the APIE model, perform venipuncture, and document contrast-related activities. ARRT certification is required, with eligibility considered if certification is obtained within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal Radiological Technologist training from an AMA approved school.
• Twenty-four month clinical internship required.
• ARRT certification is required.
• ARRT eligible candidates will be considered with certification obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiography procedures based on ASRT standards and department protocols.
• Adheres to departmental exam protocols and participates in QA/QC activities using the APIE model.
• Performs venipuncture and manages contrast administration documentation.

About the Job:

The practice of radiography is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. A radiographer performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or by the request of, a licensed independent practitioner.

What You’ll Do:

• Performs radiography procedures based on the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) “Radiography Practice Standards” and the ASRT “Code of Ethics”
• Understands and adheres to departmental exam protocols
• Actively participates in quality control and quality assurance activities using the “APIE” model.
• Performs venipuncture
• Prepares, administers, and documents activities related to contrast

Who You Are:

• Completion of formal Radiological Technologist training from an AMA approved school
  • Twenty-four month clinical internship required
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy, Required
• ARRT certification, Required
  • ARRT eligible candidates will be considered for hire with the expectation that certification will be obtained within 12 months of hire
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment
• Experience with Epic, Preferred
