Job summary

University Housing and Dining is seeking a Housing Advisor to support day-to-day occupancy management, including application, contract, and assignment processes for UHD facilities. The role supports managers for contracts and assignments and collaborates across Residence Life and Facilities.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree with relevant clerical experience and strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook and Excel, plus StarRez familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and one year of experience at the Administrative Assistant level, or high school graduation/GED and five years of clerical experience.
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
• Three years or more of experience at the Administrative Assistant level.
• Three years or more of experience in customer service.
• Experience in leasing and/or housing contracts.
• Experience working in a university setting.
• Advanced experience using Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook and Excel.
• Experience with housing management software, such as StarRez.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative tasks for student entry records via StarRez, including housing requests, move-in registration, and related duties.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, answer inquiries by phone and email, and assist visitors.
• Maintain housing occupancy and assist with online housing applications, contracts, and move-in schedules.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to generate room assignments and process changes.
• Assist with presenting UHD information sessions and conduct residence hall tours.
