Job summary

Vicinia Property Management is seeking a Student Housing Community Manager to oversee all operations of a student housing community and to increase NOI while maintaining the asset. The role requires experience in student housing and involves direct supervision of on-site staff under the VP of Operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organizational and leadership skills, with a background in leasing, sales or hospitality a plus and familiarity with property management

Qualifications

• Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills are required.
• Preferred sales and leasing experience in multifamily or hospitality.
• Experience with computerized property management and accounting software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Leads leasing of apartments at established rental rates and tours prospects.
• Prepares and processes leasing paperwork, applications, leases and checks.
• Collects security deposits, rent and other funds per policy and safeguards funds.
• Monitors marketing effectiveness, keeps ad books and demographics, follows up with prospects.
• Maintains knowledge of rents, market comps, vacancies and renewals.
• Trains and supervises on-site staff; conducts performance reviews and disciplinary actions as needed.
