Job summary

American Dining Creations is seeking friendly, dependable students to join our campus dining team as Student Food Service Workers. You’ll gain hands-on experience in customer service, hospitality, culinary operations, and teamwork while helping create a welcoming dining experience on campus.

You’ll serve guests, assist with food preparation, and keep service areas ready for the next rush. You’ll gain real-world restaurant and cafeteria experience while balancing your class schedule and studies.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled student at the college or university where the café is located.
• No required prior food service experience; experience in customer service, hospitality, or retail is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare and serve fresh menu items at a cafe station or serving line.
• Welcome students, faculty, staff, and campus guests with friendly, efficient service.
• Answer questions about menu offerings and help guests navigate the dining area.
• Build cashier and technology skills by operating a point‑of‑sale system and processing purchases.
• Label and package food for takeout and mobile orders.
• Keep the kitchen, café, equipment, utensils, and service areas clean, organized, stocked, and ready for the next rush.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines.
• Jump in where needed and work with the team to keep service running smoothly.

What We’re Looking For

• Currently enrolled as a student at the college or university where the café is located.
• No food service experience required—experience in customer service, food service, retail, hospitality, or culinary settings is a plus.
• Friendly, dependable, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Ready to stay focused, organized, and positive in a fast‑paced kitchen and dining environment.
• Basic math skills and the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs., bend, climb stairs, stand, and walk throughout the scheduled shift.
