Job summary

American Dining Creations is seeking friendly, dependable students to join the campus dining team as Student Food Service Workers. You’ll gain hands‑on experience in customer service, hospitality, and teamwork while helping create a welcoming dining experience for your campus community.

In this on-campus role, you’ll serve guests, assist with food preparation, operate a point-of-sale system, and keep dining areas clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a student at the college hosting the cafe.
• No food service experience required; customer service or hospitality is a plus.
• Friendly, dependable, able to work independently and in a team.
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs., bend, stand, and move during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare and serve fresh menu items at a café station or serving line.
• Welcome students, faculty, staff, and campus guests with friendly service.
• Answer questions about menu offerings and help guests navigate the dining area.
• Build cashier and technology skills by operating a point-of-sale system.
• Label and package food for takeout and mobile orders.
• Keep the kitchen, café, equipment, utensils, and service areas clean and stocked.
• Follow food safety and workplace safety guidelines.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Currently enrolled as a student at the college or university where the café is located.
• No food service experience required—experience in customer service, food service, retail, hospitality, or culinary settings is a plus.
• Friendly, dependable, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Ready to stay focused, organized, and positive in a fast‑paced kitchen and dining environment.
• Basic math skills and the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs., bend, climb stairs, stand, and walk throughout the scheduled shift.
