Job summary

Florida International University in Miami seeks a service-oriented administrative professional to support Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration and OneStop Enrollment Services. You will represent Student Financial Services in matters requiring policy interpretation and provide accurate account information to students, parents and faculty.

You will analyze past due balances, coordinate with collection agencies, apply payments, and deliver excellent service via call center, email or in person.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
• Intermediate Excel experience preferred.
• Effective analytical skills.
• Experience working in Higher Education.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide top-level customer service to prospective and current students, parents, and faculty in Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration, and OneStop Enrollment Services.
• Analyze student account receivables data to identify past-due balances and trends and coordinate collections.
• Manage the process to review and apply payments related to collection agency activity for student accounts.
• Support students via call center, email, written correspondence or in-person to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with student advisors, colleges, or other university departments to clarify situations.
• Assist with billing, collecting and applying payments related to Florida Prepaid contracts and other 3rd party tuition contracts.
