Florida International University is seeking a Financial Aid Liaison to serve as the primary escalation point for the Onestop Office. You will interpret Title IV regulations and provide high-level counseling to students and families on financial aid and enrollment service inquiries.
You will train staff on policies, handle complex program processing when needed, and work with Onestop to resolve escalated cases while ensuring compliance with federal/state rules and NCAA regulations.
Serves as the Financial Aid Liaison and primary escalation point for the Onestop Office resolving complex financial aid issues. Interprets Title IV regulations, provides high level counseling to students and families with questions regarding financial aid and enrollment service inquiries through timely customer services via telephone, emails, and in-person. Trains university staff on financial aid policies and procedures.
Analyzes applicants and their family's personal circumstances to establish their ability to contribute toward the cost of education. Counsels current and prospective students on application procedures, eligibility criteria, program requirements, and other financial aid concerns.
Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of financial aid or related experience or a Master's degree and two (2) years of financial aid or related experience.
Must be able to obtain clearance for National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) access, which requires no default on federal financial aid, within 60 days of employment.
Must adhere to federal, state, institutional, and NCAA rules and regulations.
