Job summary

Centura College is seeking a Financial Aid Officer to guide students through the financial services process in a higher education setting. You will manage funding options, tuition matters, and payment arrangements while ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with campus teams to resolve issues, maintain accurate records, and support students through enrollment. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and a service-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent on-the-job experience.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with ability to review financial information.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for student interactions.

Responsibilities

• Meet with incoming students to explain financial requirements and funding options.
• Guide students through required financial aid applications and documentation.
• Process and maintain funding source documentation (Title IV, VA, TA, scholarships).
• Monitor FAFSA submissions and ISIRs, resolving verification requirements.
• Monitor completion of required documentation and loan counseling.
• Establish payment arrangements and monitor student accounts for timely payment.
• Conduct outreach for outstanding balances and account-related matters.
• Maintain accurate student financial records across applicable systems.
