Colorado State University Pueblo is seeking a Student Financial Services Counselor to guide current and prospective students and their families through the financial aid process, explain eligibility, and help them understand aid options and financing decisions.

The role includes processing financial aid applications, supervising student employees, participating in recruitment across southern Colorado, delivering financial literacy education, and ensuring accurate, current aid information on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree must be conferred by start date.
• Demonstrated tact, efficient, and customer‑focused service.
• Experience using Microsoft Office products.
• Willingness to work standard hours and occasional evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to current and prospective students on eligibility, applications, aid programs, costs, loans, and financial management.
• Process financial aid applications, corrections, ISIR verification, and adjust awards in compliance with regulations.
• Recruit, train, and supervise student employment in the office and monitor timekeeping.
• Represent CSU Pueblo in recruitment events across Colorado, with emphasis on Pueblo and southeastern Colorado.
• Develop and deliver financial literacy presentations and keep online aid information up to date.
