Job summary

Fortis College in Columbia, SC seeks a Financial Aid Advisor to join the team and support the financial aid process for prospective students and graduates. The role requires evening and Saturday hours and reports to the Director of Financial Aid.

You will gather information, present initial aid packages, and perform routine clerical tasks while upholding customer service excellence in line with the college’s mission.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven.
• Must not have NSLDS restrictions.
• 1–2 years of experience preferred; we will train the right candidate.
• Experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level customer service to prospective students and current students regarding the financial aid process.
• Assist with gathering information on potential students to ensure a trouble-free student financial aid and processing system.
• Present initial financial aid package and perform routine clerical, office and data entry tasks.
• Adheres to established company and department policies and procedures and maintains excellent customer service standards.
