Job summary

Covista is seeking a detail-oriented Disbursement Specialist to manage disbursements of Title IV federal aid, state aid, private loans, and scholarships for student accounts. The role requires accuracy in applying funds and minimizing discrepancies, with collaboration across teams.

The ideal candidate will have Excel proficiency and experience in higher education financial services or related fields, along with strong analytical skills and integrity in handling sensitive information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2 years experience in student accounts and/or financial aid preferred.
• Excellent math and analytical skills.
• PC skills in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process disbursements of Title IV federal aid, state aid, private loans, and scholarships to student accounts.
• Manage returns of funds when required, ensuring compliance with federal and institutional regulations.
• Reconcile accounts to verify accuracy of disbursements and returns.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in student financial aid transactions.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure timely and accurate application of funds.
