Job summary

University of Georgia is seeking a Student Assistant for the Griffin Area to support facilities operations and campus services. You will assist with HVAC, lighting, cleanup, and general maintenance tasks to support labs and offices.

Responsibilities include garden maintenance, grounds care, mail distribution, and light carpentry or electrical-related duties as needed, contributing to campus efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with changing HVAC filters.
• Replacement of light bulbs.
• Assist with post-construction clean-up of labs and offices.
• Assist maintenance technicians with light-duty facility tasks (carpentry, painting, HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Clean fleet vehicles and golf carts.
• Maintain organization of the maintenance shop.
• Assist with campus mail and package distribution.
• Assist in maintaining garden beds around buildings (pruning and weeding).
• Mowing in designated areas.
• Weed eating and edging in designated areas.
