Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a Grounds Keeper - Student to assist in maintaining athletic facilities, fields, and common areas on campus. You will support daily grounds upkeep, field maintenance, and game-day setup under supervision.

Responsibilities include mowing, irrigation, painting fields, and post-game care at Sanford Stadium, with physical tasks and teamwork in a busy athletic environment. This student role offers hands-on experience in facility maintenance on campus.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and be on feet for long periods.
• Be a current student or eligible for on-campus student employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily maintenance of playing surfaces at athletic facilities including mowing and irrigation.
• Assist with maintenance of common areas at athletic facilities.
• Assist with game day setup for various sporting events.
• Assist with fertilizer applications at athletic fields.
• Assist with painting playing field at Sanford Stadium and other athletic facilities for practice and games.
• Assist with post game care of playing surfaces at Sanford Stadium (filling divots, removal of team benches and dog house).
• Performs other related work as required.
