Job summary

Penn State Beaver is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a part-time exam proctor for the Student Disability Resources office. A Bachelors degree is required for this position, and prior experience with exam proctoring is preferred. Hours will vary between 8:00 a.m.

- 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday only, to assist with providing academic accommodations to students with disabilities. Responsibilities include administering quizzes and exams, picking up and dropping off paper exams,

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Penn State Beaver is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a part-time exam proctor for the Student Disability Resources office. A Bachelors degree is required for this position, and prior experience with exam proctoring is preferred. Due to the nature of student exam schedules, hours will vary, both daily and weekly, generally between 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday only. Proctors will assist the Disability Services Coordinator with providing academic accommodations to students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• administering quizzes and exams to college students
• picking up and dropping off paper exams/quizzes before and after the scheduled testing time
• reading exams to students and/or providing assistance as a scribe
• monitoring student behavior during exams
• maintaining academic integrity in the testing room
• communicating with students, faculty, and Student Disability Resources staff

Due to confidentiality requirements, this position is not open to current Penn State Beaver students.

Background Checks / Clearances

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
