JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Penn State Beaver is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a part-time exam proctor for the Student Disability Resources office. A Bachelors degree is required for this position, and prior experience with exam proctoring is preferred. Due to the nature of student exam schedules, hours will vary, both daily and weekly, generally between 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday only. Proctors will assist the Disability Services Coordinator with providing academic accommodations to students with disabilities.

Responsibilities
  • administering quizzes and exams to college students
  • picking up and dropping off paper exams/quizzes before and after the scheduled testing time
  • reading exams to students and/or providing assistance as a scribe
  • monitoring student behavior during exams
  • maintaining academic integrity in the testing room
  • communicating with students, faculty, and Student Disability Resources staff
  • maintaining the confidentiality of the students receiving accommodations and engaging in respectful interactions with students
  • assisting the Disability Services Coordinator with other duties related to providing academic accommodations, as needed

Due to confidentiality requirements, this position is not open to current Penn State Beaver students.

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks:

  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
  • Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
