Job summary

Penn State University’s Student Disability Resources (SDR) is seeking part-time exam assistants to proctor in-person exams. Hours vary daily between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm (Monday–Friday).

The role pays $14 per hour with a maximum of 24 hours per week, and requires strict confidentiality and exam integrity. Exams are conducted on campus under supervision; candidates must be comfortable with in-person proctoring and pass required background checks.

Student Disability Resources (SDR) is hiring part-time exam assistants.

Hours will vary daily, between 8:00 am – 10:00 pm (Monday – Friday). The hourly rate is $14 – Per Diem—maximum 24 hours per week. Exams will be held in person.

• administering exams
• being alert and observant during exams
• respecting the confidentiality of the SDR department and students receiving accommodations
• maintaining the integrity of the testing environment
• Must be comfortable with in-person (only) proctoring

Background Checks/Clearances

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks:

• PA State Police Criminal Background Check
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
• Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check
• the National Sex Offender Registry Clearance (NSOR)

Additional clearances may be necessary if you resided outside of Pennsylvania in the past five years.
