Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Student Data & Information Services Specialist at the West Support Center. This role supports enrollment, FERPA compliance, and records management across the district, coordinating with multiple departments and schools to ensure accurate student data and timely reporting.

The position requires strong communication, organization, and collaboration. It includes handling sensitive data, assisting with CDE reporting, and providing training on the Student

Qualifications

• Demonstrates strong troubleshooting and issue research skills to provide first-contact resolution.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to read and comprehend instructions.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate enrollment policies and procedures for guardianship and foreign students throughout enrollment.
• Maintain department student files for foreign student enrollment in compliance with laws.
• Coordinate Calendar Roll Forward with BOE calendars and district departments.
• Route and prioritize work requests to SD&IS division to ensure timely, policy-compliant processing.
• Manage maintenance of student records, including updates, archiving, and destruction as needed.
• Respond to records requests from internal and external constituents and fulfill subpoenas/court orders as required.
• Provide training and support on Student Information System, transcripts ordering, and staff scheduling.
