Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a LifeWise vehicle driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The role emphasizes responsibility, punctuality, and a Christian faith aligned with the program's beliefs.

The driver must hold a regular license, have a clean driving record, and undergo background and medical checks, with potential drug testing as required. Roles include classroom volunteering if agreed.

Qualifications

• Regular driver's license; license held for the past three years.
• Age 21–80; documentation for drivers over 75 may be required.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in 5 years.
• Background check required; underwriter-approved physician's statement for medical conditions.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing required pre-employment, annually, and after incidents.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and volunteers to and from LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students entering/exiting; stay calm and attentive to those needing help.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if agreed with the Director.
