River Parishes Community College seeks a Cashier & Accounts Receivable Coordinator to handle student payments and AR tasks under the Bursar’s supervision. duties include processing payments, balancing cash, deposits, and resolving discrepancies while maintaining accurate records and serving students and college personnel in line with campus policies.

The role supports daily campus operations and peak enrollment periods, ensuring timely and compliant financial transactions.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with 3 years of experience in accounting or financial systems.
• Substitution of minimum of three (3) years of experience with accounting or financial systems.
• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience in accounting or financial systems.
• Experience with student billing, invoicing, and account analysis.

Responsabilités

• Receive and process student payments, including cash, checks, and other approved forms of payment.
• Operate the cashiering system and provide receipts for all transactions.
• Balance daily cashier transactions and prepare supporting documentation.
• Assist with preparing deposits and ensuring timely submission in accordance with established procedures.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies and cashiering errors.
• Monitor outstanding student account balances and assist with collection activities.
• Assist students with establishing and maintaining payment plans.
• Respond to student inquiries regarding payments, account balances, refunds, and collection matters.
• Monitor and respond to Bursar's Office emails concerning payments, refunds, payment plans, and outstanding balances.
• Assist with accounts receivable reporting and reconciliation activities.
• Maintain accurate cashiering and accounts receivable records for audit and compliance purposes.
• Provide cashiering and student account support during registration and peak enrollment periods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Formation

Associate degree with 3 years of experience in accounting or financial systems
