Job summary

River Parishes Community College in Gonzales, LA, seeks a Student Accounts & Billing Specialist to manage student accounts receivable, process billing transactions, exemptions, waivers, and refunds, and maintain accurate records under the Bursar's Office.

Under the supervision of the Bursar, you will respond to inquiries, assist in daily operations, and coordinate with Financial Aid, Admissions, and Registration to ensure accurate and timely billing.

Qualifications

• Associate degree is required.
• Substitution of 3 years of experience with accounting or financial systems is allowed.
• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of accounting/financial systems experience preferred.
• Experience with student billing, invoicing, and account analysis is desired.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain dual enrollment contracts and related student billing documentation.
• Apply and maintain third-party billing agreements and sponsorship contracts.
• Process approved tuition exemptions, waivers, and other student account adjustments.
• Review student accounts for accuracy of charges, credits, and applicable fees.
• Assist with accounts receivable reporting and reconciliation activities.
• Assist with student billing, account statements, and account inquiries.
• Coordinate with Financial Aid, Admissions, Registration and other departments regarding student accounts.
