Job summary

Pitzer College is seeking a Student Accounts Specialist to manage daily billing, reconciliations, and student account transactions. You will serve as a primary contact for students and families, ensuring accurate postings, timely payments, and compliant processes.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include reconciling SIS with the Workday GL, preparing journal entries, posting charges

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting and reconciliation processes.
• Experience with Workday, SIS and chart of accounts mappings.
• Ability to prepare journal entries and maintain reconciliation schedules.

Responsibilities

• Answer student account inquiries and manage department email; resolve issues and follow up.
• Perform reconciliations between SIS and Workday; analyze variances and post adjustments.
• Prepare billing statements and process payments, refunds, and adjustments.
• Support year-end reconciliations, audits, and data validation for the SIS implementation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Financial Aid, Registrar, and Admissions.
