Job summary

UW-Parkside seeks a Student Accounts Specialist to support cashiering and student account operations. You will review and reconcile activity, maintain accurate records, and assist students and families with billing in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Bursar, you will collaborate with campus partners to resolve complex tuition matters, explain policies clearly, and ensure high-quality customer service with integrity and discretion.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• At least three years of professional experience in billing, accounting, financial operations or related areas.
• Knowledge of financial principles, reconciliation processes and internal controls.
• Experience with financial systems, databases and reporting tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial data management.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct transaction and funding errors with Finance and Accounting.
• Support daily cashiering operations, receipting, deposits, balancing and maintaining records.
• Review, process, audit and reconcile student account activity, and research discrepancies.
• Prepare routine communications, reports, and notices for stakeholders and improve processing controls.
• Assist students and parents with billing, holds, balances and other account matters with clear guidance.
