Wor-Wic Community College is seeking an Accounting Specialist for accounts receivable and finance. The role manages student accounts, billing, collections, reconciliations and financial reporting, with customer service to ensure accurate processing.

Some evenings are expected during registration periods. Responsibilities include handling student inquiries, maintaining AR schedules, generating balance reports, issuing billing statements, supporting the finance director, and ensuring AR system

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of related work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong mathematical and organizational skills.
• Associate degree in a business-related field preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide responsive customer service to students in person and by phone.
• Maintain and reconcile monthly accounts receivable invoices and outstanding balances.
• Generate and analyze student account balance reports and Crystal Reports for monitoring and reporting.
• Prepare and distribute student billing statements and collection letters per schedules; coordinate with central collection unit.
• Support the director of finance with assigned accounting activities and special projects.
• Record incoming revenue, postings, refunds, and tuition charges; monitor drop/add activity.
• Review and post veterans' benefits billing items to student accounts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
