Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3 years progressive customer service experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both individually and in a team environment.
• Some evening and weekend work may be required.
• Possess knowledge and understanding of Schreiner University.

Responsibilities

• Counsel students and families regarding student account policies, billing procedures, payment options, and account balances.
• Serve as a primary contact for account-related inquiries and provide timely, accurate customer service.
• Assist students with enrollment and participation in institutional payment plan programs.
• Process cash, check, and electronic payments and ensure accurate posting to accounts.
• Reconcile daily cash and check transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare and process daily bank deposits using approved banking systems.
• Monitor student accounts and communicate about balances and deadlines.
• Assist with collection activities and payment arrangements per policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Assist with IRS Form 1098-T reporting and related communications.
• Collaborate with Financial Aid, Admissions, and other departments to ensure accurate processing.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable regulations governing student accounts and tax reporting.
• Prepare and distribute student account publications and communications.
• Support Enrollment Management with frontline service.
