The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking to hire a student assistant to work under in the Reconciliation and Financial Reporting Unit. This position is an excellent opportunity to get hands‑on experience on the core accounting skills to prepare you for a great start in an accounting career. The student assistant will assist in the monthly reconciliation of various funds, support various operational functions in the unit and learn a great deal about government accounting, accounting systems, and financial reporting.
This is a part‑time, temporary, non‑benefited, student position. Employment in all positions with University Enterprises, Inc. is dependent upon the mutual consent of University Enterprises, Inc. and the employee. This means that either University Enterprises, Inc. or the employee can, at any time, terminate the employment relationship at will, with or without cause.

Students must be enrolled in at least: six-semester units or nine quarter units for undergraduate students; four-semester units or six quarter units for graduate students. Students declared major must match the major(s) listed in the job posting.
Accounting; Business Administration or any related field.
During school, a total of 24 hours per week, Monday – Friday, between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. During breaks, Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The final work schedule will be determined by the supervisor.
Student Assistant and Graduate Assistant employees generally work up to 24 hours per workweek (Sunday – Saturday) during the academic year and up to 40 hours per workweek during breaks; (winter, spring, and summer).
$16.90 to $21.66 per hour.
